ACT I, SCENE I

Enter PIG and DINOSAUR

PIG: Hark, who goes there?

DINOSAUR: ‘Tis I, a beast of ancient times, whose visage strikes fear in even the bravest hearts.

PIG: A creature of such majesty and might I have never before encountered.

DINOSAUR: And what of thee? Thou art but a humble swine, with little else to recommend thee.

PIG: Nay, kind sir, I possess qualities that far surpass the mere oinkings of my kin. I have wit, and charm, and grace beyond compare.

DINOSAUR: Such boasting ill becomes one of thy station. But I shall entertain thee a while longer, for I have grown weary of the endless march through this desolate land.

PIG: An honor it would be to entertain thee, sir. What tales doth thou desire? Of glories past, of loves won and lost, or of battles fought with dull-billed birds?

DINOSAUR: Speak on, for I know not of these fowl thou mentionest.

PIG: Then shall I tell thee of my own valiant struggles, of the time I faced a band of mangy dogs and emerged victorious, or of my journey to the neighboring farm, where I mingled with the highest of swinery society.

DINOSAUR: Thy words ring hollow, pig. For what is valor in the face of my own might? Thy struggles pale in comparison to the battles I have won, the prey I have taken with a single blow of my fearsome jaws.

PIG: Ah, but thy power is not everything, sir. There is a grace in my own movements, a beauty in the way I navigate this world. Thou art but a brute creature, full of the noise and fury of the primordial age.

DINOSAUR: (growling) Dost thou mock me? Thou art but a speck in the grand scheme of things, a mere fluttering of wings in the face of my own prehistoric strength.

PIG: Nay, dear sir, I hold thee in the highest esteem. But I would remind thee that there is more to life than the pursuit of power. For in the end, what doth it serve but to leave thee alone, a towering figure wreathed in the dust of time?

DINOSAUR: (pausing) Thou art not like the others of thy kind, pig. Thou possessest a wisdom and insight that few can claim. I find myself intrigued by thy words.

PIG: (smiling) Then let us journey forth together, sir, a swine and a saurian, exploring this strange and wondrous world and discovering the secrets that lie within.

DINOSAUR: So be it, my little friend. Let us find adventure, and who knows what other surprises await us on our path.

Exeunt.
